"The Corps Experience...It Lasts A Lifetime"
The Corps is the “Keepers of the Spirit” and the founder of “Traditions” at Texas A&M. It teaches principles of leadership, develops responsibility, honor, and integrity; builds pride and self-confidence; instills physical stamina; and lays the foundation for intelligent and involved citizenship, culminating in the graduation of leaders possessing character and competence who are motivated for service and leadership in their community, the State of Texas, and the Nation.
The Corps is not for everyone. Not only will a cadet have to meet the demanding schedule of academic life, he/she must become a member of a team (their outfit) within the Corps and help it reach its goals. The Corps experience develops pride, loyalty, initiative, and a bonding between cadets that is unmatched anywhere. Their shared experiences, leadership opportunities, and excellent education give them a well-rounded education that will help them excel in business, civic, and/or military careers.
How do you know if the Corps lifestyle is for you? Ask yourself these questions. Are you a team player, like challenges, want do work with high achievers, disciplined, a goal setter, athletic, organized, and want to be a leader? If so, the Corps is right for you.
The next step is for you to talk to someone about the Corps and Texas A&M University. The best contact will be with a current cadet that is a member of the Corps Recruiting chain and attended your high school or is from your hometown or a member of the Aggie Corps Recruiting (ACR) program that lives in your area. Complete and submit the online registration form on this site. Your name will be entered into our system and we will contact you. If you want to talk with someone today, you can go the ACR section on this site and look up the ACR Area Coordinator nearest your hometown. They will assist you with your application and provide information about the Corps of Cadets.
