No women in leadership is unacceptable.

Disgusted,

Are you saying that one of these QUALIFIED Cadets should be kicked off because there is a less qualified female to do the job? I am not saying that females are less qualified, I am saying that these guys are the best for the job, gender has nothing to do with it.

Congrats to those chosen! I am sure it was a tough selection process. I am sure the Wing has some girls in leadership roles elsewhere. For the rest of you, there is no such thing as social engineering, neither in the Corps, nor in this country! Get over it! GIG' EM!

The disgusting part of no females in leadership is that no females either qualified or stepped forward to take a leadership role. After this much time, is is not disgusting, it is pathetic, that there has never been a female Corps Commander. What is wrong with the girls in the Corps? Why did we even bother?

Congrats to all!! I'm sure you worked hard for this and, and as a proud 'Old Army" wife, I commend you. Take care. Gig 'em!!

Ladies chill .... I'm reminded of the 1980 waggie fiasco, where one woman created such a ruckus that it actually hurt the others for years and years to come. There are now plenty of ladies in leadership within the Corps. One does not HAVE to be Corps Commander to succeed. C'mon !! I'm sure one will come in the next 100 years. By the way, I'm a male former CT from Mexico. Why ain't the MEXICANS Corps Commanders? Hey Hey !!
Everybody quit your cryin'

My My have things changed a lot since my days there from Sept. 1961 through Jan. 1966!!
There was NO crossing over from Air Force units to Army units; plus the Corps Commander and the Deputy also were from the different services and they alternated from year to year.
Why are so many of the Old Army units "missing in action" now??
I understand why all of the units are so much smaller now than they were back then, because that affords more positions of leadership.
There were 51 fish, 29 sophs, 14 jrs and 9 seniors in Fighting Seagrams 7 back in '61 - '62. One outfit controlled two stoops of each dorm,
not counting Staff rooms.
More power to you. Push on.
